ATO эк. альтернативная торговая организация*, организация альтернативной торговли* (некоммерческая организация, ставящая своей целью развитие честной торговли с развивающимися странами путем поддержания справедливого, этичного с социальной точки зрения уровня цены; такие организации действуют исходя из убеждения, что товары, производимые в развивающихся странах, продаются на мировых рынках по заниженным ценам и что производители из развивающихся стран не получают должного вознаграждения за свой труд; эти организации сами импортируют или подыскивают в развитых странах импортеров, готовых закупать товары по ценам выше рыночных, рассматриваемым как более справедливые с точки зрения полноценного вознаграждения труда производителей; на товары, закупленные по повышенным ценам, помещается особый знак, свидетельствующий о том, что повышение цены вызвано стремлением вести этичную торговлю; предполагается, что потребители, желающие поддержать программу, будут готовы уплатить большую, по сравнению с ценой обычных импортных товаров, сумму)
